We champion responsible travel and require that Ebbw Campervan is only parked in authorised overnight locations. However, because the van is fully self-contained with solar power, gas heating, and a washroom, you are not restricted to expensive holiday parks! You can comfortably use low-cost, off-grid permitted spots—like farm fields, pub stopovers, and vineyard stays found via apps like Park4Night or Pitchup.

Ebbw Campervan is wonderfully compact for driving, but you will need these dimensions when booking ferries or navigating car parks:

• Length: 5.99 meters (Fits standard pitches and overhangs slightly in standard parking bays).
• Width: 2.05 meters (Mirrors folded).
• Height: 2.80 meters (Watch out for low branches and drive-thru height barriers!).
• Weight: 3,500kg (Can be driven on a standard car license).

We allocate a minimum of 90 minutes for every physical handover for your journey. We conduct an unhurried walk-around explaining heating, gas, water, TV, and pop-top operation so you feel 100% confident.

Don't worry, you will never be left in the dark! The campervan has two power modes:

• Plugged In (Electric Hookup / EHU): At a standard campsite, you plug the van into the mains. Everything works just like at home: the microwave, the Tefal Air Fryer, 3-pin plug sockets, and electric water/cabin heating.
• Off-Grid (Solar & Gas): Parked in a farm field or at a pub? The roof's 100W solar panel and the single 12V leisure battery will keep your fridge ice-cold, power the interior lights, flush the toilet, run the TV, and charge your phones via USB. For cooking and heating, the system seamlessly uses the onboard gas tank to run your hob, oven, hot water, and blown-air cabin heating. (Note: 3-pin plugs, the microwave, and the air fryer will not work off-grid).

It is much easier and cleaner than people expect!

• Fresh Water: The van has a 90L fresh water tank for washing up and hot showers. (We recommend picking up bottled water for drinking).
• Grey Water (Sink/Shower drains): This collects in a tank under the van. You simply pull over a designated drain grid at a campsite, open a valve, and let it safely drain out.
• Black Water (The Toilet): The toilet is an electric-flush, sealed 'cassette' system. It uses dissolving pods that completely break down waste and eliminate odours. When it’s full, it pulls out like a small wheeled suitcase. You simply wheel it to a campsite "Elsan" (chemical disposal) point, empty it, rinse it, and pop it back.

While the van is spacious, hard-shell suitcases are very difficult to store. We highly recommend packing your clothing into soft holdalls or large supermarket "bags for life". You can fit a surprising amount of clothing into the overhead lockers!

• Food & Snacks: There are dedicated small cupboards situated above the front Pullman-style lounge (the front dining area).
• Bulky Items: There is a large storage cupboard beneath the fridge (approx. 1m tall x 40cm wide) where we safely stow the Air Fryer, leaving plenty of room for your hiking boots.
• Toiletries: There is a small, dedicated storage cabinet above the bathroom sink.

We have utilised the space under the rear bench seats to ensure you have everything you need without cluttering your living area:

• Passenger Side Under-Seat: Houses an outdoor carpet, 4 camping chairs, a small coffee table, a larger square slatted table, the fresh water hosepipe, the 25m electric hookup cable, awning tie-down straps, and even a game of boules! (There is still space left here to stash your empty soft rucksacks).
• Driver Side Under-Seat: Houses the leisure battery and a large picnic blanket. For safety during transit, we also securely pack the Smart TV away under here while driving.

Note: The original fold-away indoor dining table is stowed neatly in its own purpose-built cupboard underneath the TV station.
